George Antoon

President & COO at AlgiSys

George Antoon has extensive executive management experience, beginning with their role as Divisional Merchandise Manager at Montgomery Ward, Electric Ave. in 1992. In this role, they were responsible for leading the computers and related categories, business machines, mobile phones, photography, music, and other consumer electronics businesses. George was promoted to turn around the firm's distressed technology and small electronics segment, eliminating $100 million of obsolete inventory, and resolving disputed vendor claims, saving the company over $26 million.

In 1997, George moved to Shopko Stores Inc. as Vice President, DMM, where they were responsible for Sporting goods, NFL properties, toys, patio, lawn & garden, seasonal decor, and private label brands. George reversed revenue and profit declines, growing total gross profit by 14% and sales by 14.9% in 3 years to $300 million.

In 2001, George founded Antoon Executive Management, where they worked side by side with company leadership and their teams to identify, improve, and implement growth strategies that drove revenue, increased operating profits, and improved cash flow. Results included aligning resources, re-defining strategic direction, building financial plans, right-sizing budgets, streamlining processes, reinforcing company culture, empowering and refocusing teams on achieving results. George also developed B2B business development, introducing embedded antenna technology to key decision makers at T-Mobile, Verizon, Radio Shack, Panasonic, and others.

In 2006, George moved to CELLAIRIS FRANCHISE, INC., GLOBAL CELLULAR DISTRIBUTION as President and COO. George restructured and grew operations for this 300-unit wireless distributor/retailer with 35+ corporate employees, growing from 180 to over 300 mall locations. George also developed company brands and introduced international sourcing strategies and relationships that shortened time to market, increased profits, and improved product innovation and differentiation. George negotiated an exclusive retail agreement with AMP’D Mobile and created a second franchise brand, Cellairis Mobile Entertainment, opening 135 kiosks in 90 days.

Finally, in 2012, George joined Algisys, LLC as President and COO. AlgiSys is a Start-up Biotech Company focused on delivering omega-3 EPA oils derived from algae. George secured an initial investment of $6.5 million, now independently valued at $30.

George Antoon earned a Bachelor's Degree from John Carroll University.
