Hamish Ogilvy has an extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.

Hamish started their career in 1999 as the Founder of Gopetition.com, where they successfully grew the platform to over 25 million registered users and had a major impact in over 150 countries. During their time at Gopetition.com, Ogilvy learned coding and gained experience in growth hacking for a global scale market.

In 2005, Ogilvy joined Lighthouse Aesthetics as a Senior Engineer. Hamish'sresponsibilities included designing, building, testing, and obtaining regulatory approvals for novel multi-wavelength solid-state laser systems used in cosmetic and clinical medicine. Hamish also played a critical role in establishing the company's intellectual property base by contributing to patent applications.

Moving forward, Ogilvy joined Datalicious Pty Ltd in 2008 as the Head of Data. In this role, they specialized in defining, implementing, and auditing data strategies to extract maximum value from business spend, particularly in the online space. During their time at Datalicious, they successfully expanded the Data business unit from 1 to over 30 clients, including some of Australia's largest companies.

In 2010, Ogilvy took on the role of the Head of Product Development at Datalicious. Hamish led the architecture and commercialization of Supertag, a tag management platform, which was partially acquired by ASX listed Veda. Hamish'srole involved overseeing the commercialization of internal IP from the innovation stage to completed products.

Ogilvy then founded Jojari in 2012 and served as the Founder until 2015.

From 2015 to 2022, they held multiple roles at Search.io, starting as the Chief Executive Officer and later taking on the additional responsibilities as the Founder of Sajari, focusing on self-learning search technology based on "neural indexes" using machine learning. Hamish continued in this position until September 2022.

In 2022, Ogilvy joined Algolia as the Vice President of Artificial Intelligence.

Hamish Ogilvy earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in Physics, Photonics, and Optoelectronics from Macquarie University. Hamish attended from 1997 to 2000. Later, from 2001 to 2005, Hamish pursued a PhD in Physics with a focus on Lasers at the same university.
