Algolight is a French start-up providing customized photosynthetic microalgae and cyanobacteria culture services for the production of high value-added molecules in the fields of cosmetics, nutraceuticals, and biopharmaceuticals.
It is a subsidiary of Brochier Technologies, an SME based in Villeurbanne (France), which developed the patented Lightex® technology, based on a weave of optical fibers connected to LEDs.

The following species have already been validated using Algolight’s technology: Haematococcus pluvialis, Porphyridium cruentum, Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, Dunaliella salina, Phaeodactylum tricornutum, Tetraselmis suecica, and Chlorella vulgaris.
Additional species can be tested on demand using this intensive and highly controlled cultivation technology.
