John Pineau

John Pineau is an experienced professional in the fields of forestry and education, currently serving as a Professor at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, teaching remote sensing in the Forest Tech program since July 2020. In addition to academic responsibilities, John holds the position of Executive Director at the Ontario Woodlot Association since May 2020. Previously, John was the Provincial Leader for Ontario at FPInnovations from November 2014 to May 2020, and served as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director at the Canadian Institute of Forestry from September 2006 to November 2014. Earlier in John's career, from December 2000 to September 2006, John was the Extension Manager at the Forestry Research Partnership. John's academic background includes a Diploma in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from Fleming College and a degree in Biology from Trent University.
