Ben Malena is a fintech growth operator and trader with over a decade in the markets. Since 2015, he’s actively traded and built credibility at the intersection of investing, content, and community—turning market experience into distribution and trust at scale.
Before entrepreneurship, Ben was a Texas A&M running back who later spent time in the NFL. He transitioned into tech and fintech, helping lead early brand and marketing efforts at Ripple (XRP), then becoming a founding marketer at Explicia—helping scale the platform to 13M daily active users and a reported $40M valuation. He’s also built a strong audience through consistent storytelling and community-building across social platforms in the digital assets space.
Ben co-founded R&B Trading Academy alongside Ronnie Green, creating a trading education and community platform grounded in real execution, risk discipline, and practical market skill-building.
In 2022, Ben co-founded AlgoPear and serves as CMO, leading go-to-market, partnerships, and demand generation to help community financial institutions modernize their digital experience—keeping next-gen members saving, investing, learning through gamified financial education, and earning rewards directly inside their banking apps.
