John Goold

John Goold is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of physics, currently serving as an Associate Professor at Trinity College Dublin since 2017. Goold's career includes positions as an Assistant Professor and a Research Assistant Professor at the same institution. Since August 2013, Goold has also been a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP). Prior to these roles, Goold was an IRCSET Marie Curie International Mobility Fellow at the University of Oxford and worked as a Researcher at University College Cork, Ireland from 2006 to 2013. Additionally, Goold held a Research Fellow position at the Centre for Quantum Technologies in the National University of Singapore and received a Science Foundation Ireland Short Term Travel Fellowship at the University of Ulm. Goold completed a PhD in Physics at University College Cork in 2009 and earned a BSc in Physics from the same institution in 2006, following education at De La Salle College, Macroom, where Goold completed a Leaving Certificate in 2002.
