Roy Tan

Head of Sales, APAC at AlgoTrader

Roy Tan has over 20 years of experience in sales and business development in the financial technology industry.

Roy began their career at Reuters Singapore in 1997, where they were responsible for solution and information sales. Roy then moved to Thomson Reuters in 2005, where they became Regional Sales Manager for Southeast Asia and South Asia. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for the region.

In 2007, they joined Trading Technologies as Senior Sales Manager. In this role, they were responsible for sales and business development of Trading Technologies' Listed Derivatives trading platform to the financial community, covering South East Asia and Korea. Under TT's points system, they were ranked top salesperson globally for 2009, 2011 and 2012, and top salesperson in Asia for 2010 and 2013.

In 2013, they joined TradingScreen as Sales Director for Southeast Asia. In this role, they were responsible for growing TradingScreen's business in the region. Roy successfully grew the business and expanded into new markets, resulting in a significant increase in revenues.

In 2019, they joined AlgoTrader as Head of Sales for APAC. In this role, they are responsible for expanding AlgoTrader's business in the region through direct and indirect sales channels.

Roy Tan reports to Andy Flury, Founder & CEO. Roy Tan works with Felix Saible - CMO, Bartosz Wójcik - CTO, and Karl Dundon - Head of Sales, Americas. A direct report to Roy Tan is and Nicodemus Chan - Pre-Sales APAC.
