Jorge Nowalski currently serves as the President and Academic Director of the International Center for Development Studies, an organization in Costa Rica focused on providing interdisciplinary education and research opportunities in international development, sustainability, human rights, and health. Since 2006, Jorge has also been the Founder and Chairman of ALIARSE, a foundation designed to address economic, social, and environmental challenges through research, training, and public-private partnerships. Jorge holds a PhD in Labor Issues and Social Security, as well as two Master's degrees in Social Planning in Developing Countries and Industrial Relations & Personnel Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tulane University.
