Chenxi Wu

Chenxi Wu is a data science intern at Alibaba Group since February 2021, where skills in MySQL and Python were utilized to build an automated ETL system for scraping and organizing product information, complemented by a Tableau dashboard. Currently, at Duke University Hospital since June 2020, Chenxi Wu is a machine learning intern applying LDA and Dynamic Topic Modeling to patient messages for topic analysis across different years and departments. Previous experience includes serving as a graduate teaching assistant at Duke University, focusing on assignments in exploratory data analysis and various statistical models, and internships at Guoyuan Securities and China Pacific Insurance, as well as a researcher role at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, where spatial econometric methods were used to study technological diffusion and economic growth. Chenxi Wu holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
