Evan Williams

Evan Williams is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property enforcement and computer crime. Since October 2021, Williams has served as a Senior Director on the Global Intellectual Property Enforcement Team at Alibaba Group. Prior to this role, significant positions were held at the U.S. Department of Justice from 2005 to September 2021, including Senior Counsel in the Computer Crime & Intellectual Property Section and various roles focused on international intellectual property law in Asia. Williams began a legal career in the New York County District Attorney's Office from 1997 to 2005 as an Assistant District Attorney and earlier worked in the United States Congress from 1987 to 1993 as a Legislative Aide. Williams holds a degree from Columbia Law School and is a graduate of Harvard University.
