Herman Sun is currently an AIE Intern at Alibaba Group since June 2025 and has held multiple significant roles in research and software development. As a Graduate Researcher at Tsinghua University from September 2023 to July 2024, Herman focused on multi-modal learning and graph neural networks, following an earlier position as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. Prior experience includes a Software Engineer Internship at Microsoft from January to March 2023, where Herman worked on web development and software construction, and contributed as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Duke-NUS Medical School from May to October 2022, developing 3D models from medical images. Additional experience as a PM Intern at Tencent from January to March 2022 involved data analysis and mining. Herman is pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering in Computer Science at Tsinghua University, expected to graduate in June 2027, and holds a Bachelor of Science with First Honours in Computer Science from the University of Leeds, graduating in June 2024.
