James E. Sampel is the current Chief Information Officer at Alico. Prior to this, they were the Managing Director, Global Chief Operations Officer and Chief Information Officer at Greenwich Associates from March 2009 to June 2015.

At Greenwich Associates, James was responsible for all aspects of global operations with a scope that included a $65 million annual expense and capital budgets, global project portfolio, and nearly 1,300 employees (direct and indirect). James successfully helmed a full turnaround of a failing Toronto-based business unit, captured significant efficiency gains and large annual cost savings in data management and manufacturing by rolling out integrated CRM and web identity management platforms globally, and developed and reorganized production teams enterprise-wide. By eliminating inefficiencies and improving processes, they were able to capture a significant drop in operational costs during a down-turned economic market.

James has proven himself to be an effective leader with a strong ability to turn companies around and improve efficiency. James is a strategic thinker who is able to make difficult decisions in order to improve the bottom line. Their experience in both the retail and financial services industries makes him a valuable asset to any organization.

James E. Sampel has a graduate degree from the Society for Information Management, an MBA in Information Technology from Pace University's Lubin School of Business, and a BS in Electronic Engineering from DeVry University. James also has certification from ExecRank in Certificate of Continued Board Education, SixSigma.US in Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), and Microsoft in MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional/MCSE Microsoft Certified System Engineer.
