Robert Carden

Robert Carden is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development, specializing in cryptography and embedded systems. Currently serving as Senior Staff Engineer at Alif Semiconductor since November 2019, Carden is focused on developing cryptographic software for embedded processors. Prior to this, roles included Senior Staff Engineer in Software Engineering at Marvell, where responsibilities involved implementing embedded firmware for the Marvell Security Enclave and providing customer support. Carden's career spans notable positions at QLogic, Internet Machines Corporation, Unisys, and teaching roles at UC Irvine and UCSD, showcasing expertise in system-level verification, software engineering, and education. Carden earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC San Diego and a B.S. in Mathematics from UC Irvine.
