Johan Hernström

Johan Hernström has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Johan currently works as a Client Executive at Alight since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Accenture from January 2017 to March 2020, where they were part of the Management Consulting team, specializing in Industry X.0 and Supply Chain & Operations. During their time at Accenture, Johan supported clients in the Consumer Goods and Construction sectors with sourcing, procurement, and supply chain-related opportunities and challenges.

Before joining Accenture, Johan worked at PIR - Procure It Right, a subsidiary of the Kinnevik group, from January 2011 to December 2016. Johan held various roles at PIR, starting as a Consultant and progressing to Senior Consultant and eventually Manager. At PIR, Johan sold and led sourcing and procurement projects across industries such as Telecom, Media, Construction, and Industrial in Europe, Africa, South America, and the Middle East. Johan was responsible for recruitment, development of the service portfolio, and had expertise in procurement strategy, category strategy, strategic sourcing, and performance management, among other areas.

Johan also gained experience at Paragona, where they worked from May 2007 to January 2011. Johan started as a Trainee and progressed to become a Country Manager for Sweden. At Paragona, Johan had overall responsibility for the Swedish market, including business development, sales, and project management. Paragona is a leading European provider of international solutions for staff shortage problems in the healthcare sector.

Additionally, Johan has previous experience at Volvo Trucks, where they completed their Master's thesis, and the Swedish Armed Forces, where they served as an Executive Officer Combat Craft 90 | Sergeant during their military service from June 2000 to August 2001.

Johan Hernström completed their MSc in Mechanical Engineering from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University from 2001 to 2007. Additionally, they pursued a field of study in Supply Chain Management at the National University of Singapore from 2005 to 2006.
