Assaf Berwald is an experienced R&D opto-mechanic engineer and NPI engineer currently employed at Align Technology since October 2019. Prior experience includes roles as an R&D mechanical designer at Spectrum Dynamics Medical, where Assaf led NPI activities and designed assemblies from concept to implementation. At Israel Weapon Industries, Assaf was responsible for designing jigs and fixtures for production engineering. Previous positions also include mechanical designer and assembler at HP Scitex, and tower climber at MER Group, as well as observer and telescope operator at The Florence and George Wise Observatory. Assaf holds a degree as a practical engineer in Mechatronics from Ort Singalovski College in Tel-Aviv.
