Shai Ayal

Shai Ayal is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in algorithm architecture and development within the medical technology sector. Currently serving as Algorithm Architect and Principal at Align Technology since July 2016, Shai has progressed through various roles, including Senior Manager and Team Leader. Prior to Align Technology, Shai held significant leadership positions at BioControl Medical for over 16 years, including Chief Technology Officer and Director of Development, where responsibilities encompassed pivotal study leadership, software and hardware development, and regulatory compliance for the CardioFit system. Shai's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Astrophysics, an MSc in Physics, and a BSc in Mathematics and Physics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
