Da-Jin Chu has a wide range of experience in software engineering and development. In 2021, they began working as an Engineering Team Lead and Software Engineer at Alignable. In 2020, they were a Software Engineer Intern at GitHub where they released an OpenAPI spec describing 600+ endpoints in GitHub's REST API for use in SDK and docs generation, wrote scripts to merge existing docs, JSON validation schemas, and contract tests into an accurate API description, and created an automated pipeline to build a public API docs website from OpenAPI. In 2019, they were a Software Engineer Co-op at Alignable where they worked to drive members to post more content and engage with the platform, rebuilt the Q&A forum to simplify how content is surfaced, and built the public facing blog with a focus towards search engine optimization. In 2018, they were a Technical Director and Co-Founder at Sandbox at Northeastern, where they managed team leads and developers, designed their technical interview process, acquired new clients, and wrote and deployed software. Da-Jin was also a Software Engineering Intern at RSA Security, where they provided sales engineers with tools to sell more effectively by developing an enterprise-wide search system, and a Prototyping and Systems Engineering Intern and Healthcare Software Intern at MITRE, where they worked on the GPS modernization project and contributed to Cedar, a tool to help evaluate the validity of electronic health records. In 2016, they were a Prototype Developer at EDot Calculator, where they designed a calculator for a special education teacher to help their students understand decimals.
Da-Jin Chu attended Bedford High School from 2013 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, Da-Jin Chu attended Mass Academy of Math and Science. In 2016 and 2017, Da-Jin Chu participated in Dual Enrollment at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Da-Jin Chu graduated from Northeastern University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
