AlignCare is a national One Health healthcare system designed to improve access to veterinary care for families who participate in means-tested assistance programs such as Food Stamps, Medicaid, WIC, Section 8, unemployment and/or SSI. AlignCare aligns community resources and activities resulting in healthier communities.

· The ability to treat pets of families with limited resources, reducing euthanasia of pets with treatable illnesses/injuries   
· A more significant impact in preventing/controlling zoonotic diseases in their community      
      
Veterinary Social Work Coordinators provide a service to:      
· Families by supporting their mental and emotional health needs related to their pets and connecting them with other community resources     
· Veterinary care teams, when challenged while helping a family with certain limitations and needs
