Michael Welch

Michael Welch began their work experience in 2011 as a Research & Product Development Engineer at Inertech Systems, where they designed innovative products for the data center market. Michael later served as a Product Manager, introducing new product lines and managing internal resources and budgets. Michael then moved on to become the Director of Platform Procurement, overseeing data center procurement operations and leading the design team. In 2020, they were promoted to Senior Director of Pre-construction & Design, managing design teams and construction projects valued over $250M. Most recently, in 2021, they took on the role of Vice President of Procurement and Design at Aligned, where they are responsible for managing design teams and interfacing with revenue teams to reach sales targets. In addition to their work experience, they also served as an Undergraduate Academic Assistant at the University of Connecticut, providing teaching support and grading projects for students.

Michael Welch completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, with a focus on Environmental Engineering, from the University of Connecticut in 2011. Michael then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Engineering Management at Ohio University, completing their studies in 2015. In 2019, they obtained certifications as a Procore Certified Project Manager and a LEED® Green Associate.
