Varda Shalev

Varda Shalev has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Varda is currently a Managing Partner at Team8, starting in November 2022. Varda is also a Director at Novolog - Delivering Health since December 2022. Prior to these roles, they served as a Director at BATM starting in November 2019. Shalev is a Co-Founder and Advisory Board Member at Alike.Health, an independent practice specializing in family medicine, and a Member at 8400 The Health Network. In the field of academia, they are a Professor at the School of Public Health at Tel Aviv University. Shalev has significant experience at Maccabi Health Care Services, where they held multiple positions including Founder and CEO of the Kahn Sagol Maccabi research and innovation center, Head of the Primary Care Division, and Founder and Director of the Medical Informatics Department. Throughout their career, they have made significant contributions to medical analytics and innovation in healthcare.

Varda Shalev began their education at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 1986. Varda then pursued a Medical Internship at Beilinson Medical Center in 1987. Following this, they completed a Family Practice Residency at Kaplan Hospital in 1993. In 1998, they earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Public Health from Clark University. Finally, they completed a Fellowship in Medical Informatics at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2000.
