Colin Gray has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. In 2003, they worked as an Event Manager for Maximillion. From 2006 to 2007, they served as a Multimedia Learning Assistant at Jewel and Esk Valley College, where they created interactive learning materials and assisted in teaching multimedia production techniques. Starting in 2007 until 2013, Colin worked at Edinburgh Napier University as an eLearning Lecturer and Learning Technology Advisor, where they played a key role in creating and implementing online and blended learning courses. In 2004, they joined Wild Trails Media as a Web Strategy, eLearning, and Digital Marketing professional, responsible for website development, SEO, and managing online businesses. Colin transitioned to work as a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Abertay Dundee from 2012 to 2015, where they completed a Doctorate and focused on providing online education for entrepreneurs. Since 2011, they have been the Managing Director for The Podcast Host, a podcasting consultancy and production company. In 2015, Colin also became the Chief Executive Officer of Alitu by The Podcast Host.

Lastly, Colin attended Abertay University from 2012 to 2015, where they achieved their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Online Education for Professional Learners.
