Dan Whitsell

Dan Whitsell is an experienced professional in microbiology and quality compliance, currently serving as the Vice President and General Manager at Alkermes since February 2004, overseeing quality assurance, quality control, and validation departments at the Wilmington, Ohio facility. Before this role, Dan held the position of Senior Director of Quality and accumulated valuable experience at Wyeth BioPharma, where responsibilities included managing microbiology and raw materials laboratories. Prior to that, Dan worked at Meridian Medical Technologies, Abbott Laboratories/Sanofi Winthrop, Survival Technology, Inc., and Scientific Associates, Inc., developing a robust foundation in microbiology and regulatory compliance. Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, between 1984 and 1989.
