David McDonnell is an accomplished medical executive with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Serving as the Executive Medical Director at Alkermes since January 2015, David has also held the position of Senior Medical Director within the same organization. Prior to this, David worked at Eli Lilly and Company from August 2001 to December 2014 in a research capacity. David earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Psychiatry from University College Cork between 1986 and 1991, and completed studies at Rockwell College from 1983 to 1986.
