Derek Martyn

Derek Martyn is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in business development and scientific research. Currently serving as Senior Director at Alkermes since November 2015, Derek has progressed through various roles, including Director and Associate Director in the same company. Prior experience includes working at Trinity Partners as a Senior Consultant and at the Broad Institute, where responsibilities included research and grant proposal writing. Derek's scientific career began with postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School and the Broad Institute, focusing on synthesizing small molecules and optimizing high-throughput screening assays for drug discovery. Derek earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry and a First Class B.Sc.(Hons.) in Biochemistry/Chemistry from the University of Canterbury.
