Stephen Sheehan has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and engineering sectors, currently serving as Director of External Development & Manufacturing at Alkermes since August 2014. Prior roles at Alkermes include Principal Engineer in both Large Molecule Drug Substance Technical Operations & Vendor Management and Small Molecule Process Development, along with various engineering positions. Before joining Alkermes, Stephen was a Transfer and Research Engineer at University College Dublin while completing a PhD in Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering. Additional academic experience includes lecturing roles at NUI Maynooth and University College Dublin, along with engineering positions at Memjet Technology, EMD Millipore, and Intel Corporation. Stephen holds an MBA from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, as well as multiple engineering degrees from University College Dublin.
