Mitch Shorum

Mitch Shorum has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Mitch began their career in 2013 as a Mechanical Engineer I at American Food Equipment Company, where they designed capital equipment for the food processing industry. In 2015, they joined Cisco as a Partner Associate Systems Engineer, attending a 15-week immersive training program. Mitch then worked as an Associate Solutions Engineer at Milestone Technologies, supporting network support tickets and assisting with projects at Workday. Mitch then transitioned to Workday in 2016, where they held various network engineering roles, including Sr. Network Engineer and Network Engineer II. Most recently, in 2023, they joined Alkira, Inc. as a Solutions Engineer.

Mitch Shorum obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA, where they studied from 2008 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Mitch also obtained various certifications, including Aviatrix Certified Engineer - Multi-Cloud Networking Professional from Aviatrix in July 2020, Amazon Web Services Advanced Networking Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2019, PCSNE from Palo Alto Networks in June 2019, CCP from Amazon Web Services in November 2018, and CCNA from Cisco in May 2015.
