Spike Wang has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Spike began their career at Lionbridge in 2005 as a Quality Assurance Engineer, where they were responsible for testing Adobe's product line. In 2007, they joined Netsweeper as a Software Developer, where they worked on integrating categorization engine prototypes into Netsweeper's AI system and designing and implementing new interfaces for their web-based administration system.
In 2010, Spike moved on to i365 A Seagate Company as a Software Developer, where they redesigned the build system and developed the next generation Virtual Backup/Recovery Appliance for VMware vSphere. Spike also designed and developed a new continuous integration system.
Spike then joined EMC in 2011 as a Sr. Software Engineer, where they worked until 2012. In this role, they gained experience in software development and was involved in various projects.
In 2012, Spike joined Cisco as a Technical Leader, where they worked on the IOS-XE infrastructure team. Spike contributed to the development of various products for router families ASR, ISR, and CSR. Spike was also involved in the development of data plane and control plane infrastructure, as well as the next generation OS for routers and switches.
Most recently, Spike joined Alkira Inc in 2018 as a Software Engineer, where they are currently employed.
Spike Wang completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Jilin University in the years 2000 to 2004. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Guelph from 2005 to 2007.
