David Petering

David Petering is an experienced professional in social justice and housing advocacy, currently serving as the Landlord Engagement Coordinator at All Chicago Making Homelessness History since 2021. Previously, David was the Marketing Director at East Lake Management & Development Corp. and worked as a Housing Liaison at CEDA, focusing on sustainable housing solutions for clients. David's background includes community organizing and outreach as a Community Organizer and Outreach Assistant with the Metropolitan Tenants Organization, as well as supervisory roles at NORC at the University of Chicago. Earlier contributions include serving as Director's Assistant at Lakeside Community Development Corporation and engaging in public policy research at the University of Illinois at Chicago. David founded the Heart to Hart homeless initiatives program and the Act 2 Project Community Men's Support Group. Educationally, David holds a Master of Arts in Social Justice, Community Organizing and Development, and a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Social Service and Public Policy.
