James Mitchell

Director Of Test And Calibration at ALL.SPACE

James Mitchell started their work experience as a PhD student at Lancaster University in 2015. During this time, they focused on designing antennas for superconducting resonant cavities and developing RF measurement platforms. In 2019, they joined CERN as a Senior Fellow, where they led the operation and upgrade of RF user facilities and developed fault analysis tools. Currently, since 2022, James works at ALL.SPACE as an Engineering Lead in RF testing, overseeing the development of testing facilities and managing a multidisciplinary team for RF testing systems.

James Mitchell pursued their education starting from 2005 at Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School, where they completed their GCSEs and A-Levels until 2012. Following that, they continued their studies at Lancaster University and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering in 2015. James furthered their education at the same university, completing a Doctor of Philosophy in RF Engineering in 2019.
