Michael Smith

Michael Smith has extensive experience in facilities management and construction, currently serving as the Head of Department for Facilities Management at Allan Gray since August 2008. Their expertise encompasses project management, property management, occupational health and safety, environmental management, and procurement management. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Operations Manager at FM Solutions from March 2006 to August 2008 and worked as an Associate Structural Engineer at Arcus Gibb from January 2000 to March 2006. Michael holds a Master of Business Administration (Executive MBA) from the University of Cape Town, obtained between 2014 and 2016, and a BSc (Eng.) Hons. in Civil Engineering from the same institution, completed in 1994.
