David DeVoto is the Orchestra Director at Allen ISD, where they have worked since 2002, leading a successful orchestra program and contributing to the creation of the IB Music and AP Theory Music programs at Allen High School. With 28 years of experience in teaching and directing middle and high school students, David is skilled in classroom management, curriculum development, and performance assessment. Their passion lies in fostering a love for music and developing the musical talents of diverse learners. Previously, David served as a board member for the Texas Orchestra Directors Association from 2009 to 2014 and was an Orchestra Director at Richardson Independent School District from 1997 to 2002. David earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Teacher Education from the University of North Texas and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Lamar University.
