Daniël Kok

Daniël Kok is a software engineer at Alliander since February 2024 and previously led a Data and Analytics team in Research and Development at AWAREWAYS, helping the company transition from a startup to a scale-up. Daniël has experience in quantum machine learning and quantum computing from an internship at ING Nederland, where the focus was on translating the kNN algorithm to its quantum variant. Daniël's background also includes presenting interactive astrophysical lectures at the Netherlands Research School for Astronomy and conducting simulations of black hole accretion during an internship with BlackHoleCam. Educated at Radboud University, Daniël holds a Master's degree in Particle- and Astrophysics and a Bachelor's degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics. Additional experience as chair of the photography committee for the Studievereniging Marie Curie and as a bartender at Jackies NYCuisine rounded out a diverse professional background.
