Jerry Guo

Jerry Guo is a Scientific Software Engineer at alliander, contributing to energy transition efforts through numerical solutions and software engineering in power grid calculations since November 2023. Prior to this, Jerry served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD student at Technische Universiteit Delft, specializing in realistic rendering and light transport simulation from September 2017 to October 2023. Additional experience includes a short-term project at Koninklijke Bibliotheek focusing on Dutch Gothic machine print recognition, and involvement in the Eurographics conferences where presentations were made and organizational roles were fulfilled. Jerry's background also includes significant software engineering positions at BeTop Multimedia, contributing to computer graphics product development and production pipelines. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Graphics from Delft University of Technology, a Master’s Degree in the same field from Utrecht University, and dual degrees in Computer Science and English Language and Literature from Dalian University of Technology.
