Joost Toonen

Joost Toonen is a seasoned professional in the energy sector with extensive experience in management and product ownership. Currently serving as a Senior Product Owner at Alliander since November 2015, Joost focuses on the standardization of modular grid components to facilitate the energy transition. Previous roles include Technical Program Manager and Team Coach, where responsibilities involved enhancing energy transition efforts through modular design, and Specialist Internal Audit, overseeing audits related to various energy transition models and safety incidents. Joost's prior experience includes significant positions at Allego, Endinet, and NRE Netwerk BV, where strategic management of energy assets and realization of public charging infrastructure were key responsibilities. Joost holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from Eindhoven University of Technology and has furthered professional development through numerous relevant certifications in Agile, Project Management, and Artificial Intelligence.
