Maarten Afman

Maarten Afman currently serves as a Senior Consultant in Corporate Strategy at Alliander, starting in January 2021, where responsibilities include guiding the organization on strategic matters related to the evolving energy system. Additionally, Maarten holds a part-time role as Vakgroepcoach, focusing on the development of colleagues in Customer and Grid strategy. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Consultant in Energy Transition at Liander and a Senior Researcher/Consultant at CE Delft, where Maarten led projects in energy supply and infrastructure. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis, and Management from TU Delft, along with a BSc in Governance Studies and foundational studies in Technical Physics. Maarten is also the Treasurer at Watersportvereniging Helius, overseeing financial matters at the water sports club.
