Werner van Westering

Werner van Westering is an experienced professional with a robust background in research, data science, and engineering. Currently serving as Lab Manager at Alliander, Werner oversees the AI for Energy Grids lab and collaborates on implementing research findings within the organization. Holding a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, Werner has worked as a Principal Researcher and Research Program Coordinator at Alliander, focusing on algorithms and AI. Previous roles include Senior Technical Lead, Senior Data Scientist, and Mechanical Engineer for various projects, as well as significant involvement in student associations and sustainability initiatives at TU Delft.
