John Burns

John Burns is an experienced insurance professional with a diverse background in underwriting and sales. Currently serving as an Underwriting Specialist at Allianz since September 2025, John previously held the position of Licensed Sales Executive at PIA Northeast from April 2024 to September 2025. Prior to that, John was the Director of Business Insurance Placement at ONEGROUP Risk Management and Insurance from May 2023 to April 2024. John's extensive career includes over a decade as an Executive Commercial Lines Underwriter for Errors and Omissions at Utica Mutual Insurance Company from November 2010 to May 2023, as well as a role in Risk Management at Tapley Insurance Agency, Inc. from February 2006 to July 2010. John holds a degree from St. Bonaventure University, obtained between 1988 and 1992.
