Alex Smith

Alex Smith has had a diverse range of experiences in the design industry. Most recently, they worked as the Director of Design at Allocation.Space starting in October 2021. Prior to that, Alex was a Design Partner at Group Of Humans from July 2018. They also worked as a Creative Director on a freelance basis from March 2018 to August 2022. Before that, they held the position of Executive Creative Director at SMITH from November 2014 to August 2022. Alex also has experience as a Visiting Instructor at PRATT INSTITUTE from 2009 to August 2022. Other notable roles include being a Creative Director at Taylor James Ltd from September 2017 to March 2018, and Founder and CEO of Graphient from August 2008 to December 2012. Additionally, they worked as an Art Director on a freelance basis from June 2007 to August 2008 and at Superfad in 2007. Alex started their freelance career as an Art Director in 2000, which lasted until 2007.

Alex Smith earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Communication Design from Pratt Institute, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Later, from 2011 to 2014, they pursued further education at the same institution and obtained a Master's Degree in Industrial and Product Design.
