Chris Barton has a wide range of work experience in various industries. Chris started their career in 2011 as an Intern at Spectra-Physics, where they conducted variable condition testing on lasers in production. In 2012, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, where they designed parts for the Laser group and assisted with vacuum work and laser alignment.

In 2013, Chris worked as a Field Intern at Devcon Construction, where they ensured structural solidity and feasibility of architectural plans, analyzed competitor bid documentation, and worked on build sites with various trades. Chris then joined Sierra Nevada Corporation in 2014 as a Mechanical Engineer, where they designed flight control surfaces for the Dream Chaser spacecraft program.

Chris Barton attended Santa Clara University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2014.
