Jake Mauer

Jake Mauer is the VP of Design at Allovue, a position they have held for 8 years and 5 months. Prior to that, they were the Director of Design at Allovue for 2 years and 1 month. Jake has also worked as a Web Specialist at AppDirect and as a UI Developer at Intridea, Inc. In their role as VP of Design, Jake has built and managed a team of 3 designers and 1 engineer. Jake also holds weekly 1 on 1’s with each team member and leads weekly critique and sharing of knowledge sessions with the entire design team. Jake has cultivated an environment of trust, autonomy, vulnerability, and safety with their team that allows them to be their whole selves and create amazing work that they are proud of. Jake has also led the design and user experience of products that are used in over 50 public school districts across the country serving millions of students with budgets in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Jake has designed or directed the design of every major product Allovue has made in its 8-year history with collaborative exploration with customers, wireframing, and high-fidelity designs and prototypes.

Jake Mauer attended the Maryland Institute College of Art from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a B.F.A in Interactive Media.
