Jason Calhoun

Jason Calhoun is the current VP of Operations at Allovus. Prior to this, they served as the Acting Head of People Operations at GitHub from May 2014 to May 2016. In this role, they led a team of 20 professionals across HR, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development.

Before their time at GitHub, Jason was with Nook Media LLC, Barns & Noble, where they served as the Senior Manager Human Resources from February 2013 to May 2014. At Nook Media, they were responsible for partnering with the Sr Director of HR and the executive team to introduce and implement the human resource business partner model focusing on the how to most effectively manage and develop the team talent in order to deliver our ever-changing business goals. Jason also managed the 11 person HR, Facilities and Security team members that supported NOOK employees in Palo Alto, Redmond, Europe and Asia.

Jason has also been responsible for driving consistent career path planning, culture evangelism, and manager/leader competency programs and workshops, across all functional areas. Jason has mentored our Recruiting Programs Manager through the design and implementation of our first company-wide summer internship program and our HR Generalist through the creation and implementation of a new and consistent employee relations process, including internal wiki pages, manager tools, and employee trainings.

Jason Calhoun has a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Central Washington University.
