Eric Chiou

Eric Chiou is a Senior Data Scientist at Alloy, with extensive experience in data analysis and research within educational contexts. Prior to joining Alloy in March 2021, Eric held positions as a Research Scientist and Senior Data Analyst at Newark Public Schools from August 2018 to March 2021, as well as a Consultant at the Center for Public Research and Leadership for a brief period in early 2018. Eric’s work has focused on adapting methodologies to estimate the causal impact of policies on student achievement, contributing to efforts aimed at expanding access to quality education. Eric holds an AB in Politics from Princeton University, complemented by minors in Computer Science and Statistics & Machine Learning, and a MA in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences from Columbia University.
