Tom Barnes is a seasoned professional in the fields of machine learning and data science, with extensive experience in both sports trading and technology development. Tom began a career as a Sports Trader at Spreadex from January 2008 to July 2012, followed by a Senior Risk Manager role at CommonBond.co from January 2016 to April 2018. Tom transitioned into machine learning engineering, serving as a Data Scientist at Yieldstreet and subsequently holding positions at SimpleBet and Enigma Technologies, Inc. as a Machine Learning Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, respectively. Currently, Tom is engaged as a Machine Learning Engineer at Alloy since March 2025, alongside a prior tenure as a Professional Sports Bettor from 2009 to 2015.
