Keith Matera

Keith Matera is a Principal Data Scientist at Allstate, where they lead cross-departmental initiatives to enhance modeling processes and develop innovative solutions in the insurance space. Previously, they served as a Lead Data Scientist at Allstate and worked extensively in data science, machine learning, and deep learning. Keith's earlier career includes roles as a Research Associate at Fermilab and a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they contributed to groundbreaking research in high energy physics. They began their career as a Science Teacher at Canterbury High School, where they developed physics and computer science curricula and founded the Canterbury Astronomy Club. Keith holds a Ph.D. in High Energy Physics and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Bowdoin College.
