Leah Birch

Leah Birch is a Lead Climate Data Scientist at Allstate, specializing in high-performance computing, fluid dynamics, climate research, and machine learning. They hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University, where they were a Researcher and PhD Candidate from 2012 to 2017. Following their doctoral studies, Leah served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Woods Hole Research Center from 2017 to 2020, and subsequently led atmospheric data science initiatives at MORSE Corp until 2023. With extensive experience in running state-of-the-art climate models and analyzing large datasets, Leah utilizes a range of programming languages to support their research and modeling activities.
