Stanley R. Smith

Stanley R. Smith, CIC, ARM, CRM, CSP, serves as President of SGS Consulting, Inc. since October 2005, specializing in risk management, insurance, and safety consulting. Stanley has been a National Faculty member at the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance since May 2010, where lectures focus on principles of risk management and risk control. Additionally, Stanley has owned an Allstate agency in Dallas since November 2010, leveraging over 34 years of industry experience to deliver exceptional customer service. From October 2010 to August 2022, Stanley acted as the Director of Not For Profit Practice at Black Swan Risk Consulting, LLC, providing risk assessment and management solutions. Prior roles include VP of Risk Management at the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas and Regional Risk Consultant at St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company. Stanley holds an MBA from SMU Cox School of Business and a BS in Industrial Technology from Jackson State University.
