Robert Walker

Robert Walker is the current CEO at Alltech. Prior to their current position, they served as the General Manager (Global) at Alltech Crop Science, an independent subsidiary wholly owned by Alltech. In this role, Walker was responsible for developing the company internationally, driving new business across USA, Latin America and Europe. Robert also led a successful global team in a rapidly changing company. Prior to their time at Alltech Crop Science, Walker co-founded Umdoni Marketing, a farming business that employed up to 75 people and grew flowers and tomatoes in greenhouses as well as managed a litchi orchard. The business supplied the national supermarket chains: Woolworths, Spar and Pick'nPay. Before Umdoni Marketing, Walker served as the Regional Sales Manager (Kwa-Zulu Natal) at Landini.

Robert Walker's educational career includes a BSc in Agriculture from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Food & Agribusiness Executive Seminar from Purdue University, an Executive Masters course in Business Administration from SDA Bocconi, and an Alltech “Mini-MBA” - Executive Leadership Certificate from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. Robert also has a Computer Programmer certification from Sun Microsystems and a Senior leadership Program certificate from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
