Erwin Irdam

Erwin Irdam has a vast experience in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning over several companies. Erwin is currently serving as the Senior Director of Oligonucleotide Chemical Development & Manufacturing at Alltrna since March 2022. Prior to this role, they held positions at Biogen, where they worked as a Sr. Principal Engineer/Chemical Engineering Group Leader in the Chemical Process Development department from December 2017 to March 2022. Erwin also had the role of Principal Scientist in the Process Chemistry department at Biogen from May 2009 to December 2017.

Before joining Biogen, Erwin worked at GlaxoSmithKline as an Investigator from 2006 to 2009. Erwin started their career at Pfizer as an Associate Research Fellow from 2003 to 2005. Erwin also served as a Research Advisor at Pharmacia (formerly GD Searle) from 1992 to 2003.

Erwin Irdam obtained a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, graduating between the years 1986 and 1992.
