KC Chan has a diverse work experience. They began their career at Roche Sequencing Solutions as a TAG Chemistry Intern, where they synthesized polymerase enhancing molecules (PEMs) for sequencing. They also purified water-soluble organic molecules using the Teledyne CombiFlash automated flash column chromatograph system and characterized products using ESI-MS and NMR. Following this, KC Chan worked at UC Santa Barbara as a Graduate Student Researcher for over five years. Currently, they are working at Alltrna as a Scientist I, specializing in Medicinal Chemistry.
KC Chan started their education in 2011 at Kingsborough Community College, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Physics. They then moved on to Smith College in 2014 and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry in 2016. Currently, KC is pursuing a Ph.D. at UC Santa Barbara in the field of Organic Chemistry, expected to be completed in 2022.
Alltrna
Alltrna is the tRNA platform company to decipher tRNA biology and pioneer tRNA therapeutics to treat thousands of diseases. tRNAs play a central role in the translation of mRNA into proteins. tRNA biology modulates the complex code of DNA and RNA across translation and transcription. Altrna platform incorporates AI/ML tools to learn the tRNAlanguage and deliver diverse programmable molecules with broad therapeutic potential.
