Akira Shavers is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a background in information security and cyber forensics. Shavers began a career at Bank of America as an Information Security Engineer in the Security Operations Center, subsequently serving as a Cyber Forensics Engineer responsible for responding to information security incidents. Shavers held the position of Senior Security Engineer at 3D Systems Corporation, where significant funding for a cybersecurity roadmap was secured. In a managerial capacity at Ally, Shavers advanced through roles from Principal to Director of Cyber Security Technology, focusing on endpoint and data security. Currently a Board Member at Carolina Cyber Center and Advisor to Montreat College's Cyber Security Advisory Board, Shavers influences the education of future cybersecurity professionals. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security from Montreat College and an MBA with a focus on Cyber Security Management from Queens University of Charlotte.
